Crochet Puff stitch

I am trying to do a flower motif from a pattern for a blanket in a crochet book.

The first round is trebles in a ring so that is fine.

The second round has puff stitch in it which I haven't done before. Should the pattern say how many stitches are in the puff or not. If not how am I supposed to know how many to do.

Thanks.

Normally there is a code before the pattern actually starts. It definitely should tell you how big the puff is.

If all else fails, you might be able to count them from a photo of the blanket.

As its a book, there might be a page or two that shows you all the special stitches and explains them.
