I've started a project and I'm already regretting it!

I got into a bit of a zone tonight and have crocheted several 'puffy flowers' with no intention of turning them into anything.

Then I figured, stitch them together to make a blanket/throw for dd...

I now need to make a lot more than I currently have. Why do I do this to myself?

Could you scale down the project? Turn it into a cushion cover - you could do a plain back. I would not bother with squaring it off either. Just make the flowers until it is bigger all round than the cushion pad you are using. Then make two plain rectangles that cover the cushion pad with a bit of overlap in the middle. Sew these to the floral front leaving the gap in the middle to get the cushion pad in. Google envelope fold cushion covers as I haven't really explained it clearly Blush

Depending on the age of your DD could you make a doll blanket out of them? My DDs are 16+ so I would have to keep going and do the full size jobbie - no dollies in my house for ten years or so Grin

Depending on the size of the flowers you could always use them as motifs on hair/head bands.

I was sorting out my work basket....thought I could use the odds and ends to make hexagons. ....made about 25, they looked really pretty together.

3 months later, more yarn than I ever had in my life and I have a double hexie blanket.

and the work basket is still not tidy.

I have some of those daisy flowers milling about too, to use the oddments from the hexie blanket.

Frog it and then you can to something else with it if you want. Are you a result crocheter or a process crocheter? If you like the process then what you did served its purpose. If you just want results then you have saved yourself unnecessary effort/boredom on something you don't like if you have frogged it.
