What can I make out of raffia paper?

I have to make a "something" out of raffia paper as a prop for a play - it has to look as if it's something a child has made so I need it to be something that dd can make with me.

I've managed to find some raffia but haven't got a clue what you can do with it! Does anyone have any bright ideas?

Anyone?

Would it help if I got down on my knees and begged?

I don't even know what it is - but I'm bumping for you

have been googling - how about an angel?

The raffia is like straw - I don't have the first idea where to start with it! I had a vague idea that maybe I could plait it and then make something from that but that's as far as I got.

The only consolation is that it has to look as if it was made by a child ...

I was trying to find apicture - I had in mind a kind of corn dolly - double over a bundle of lengths, tie to make head body and 2 legs.

Then put another bunch through the body to make arms and glue on some wings?

WWB come back i found a simple one

WigWamBam · 22/12/2006 18:07

Ah, now that green one even I could manage! And dd could help, to add it that authentic air of having been made by a child ...

Thanks, Iota
