Sewing machines for charity

I have an old electric sewing machine sitting in my loft, it does work but really could do with an overhaul and service. Does anyone know of a charity which could revamp it and then use it? Tools for Self Reliance seems to need machines in good working order, and mine doesn't quite fall into that charity.
I can't stand to take it to the tip! I am based in Cambridge.

Have you got a sewing teacher locally who might be able to use it in workshops, if it's only in need of an overhaul? I rehomed one that way once.

I gave my old machine away on Freecycle.
