I'm trying to find an out of print pattern - Sirdar 271. And I'm in Canada, which doesn't help. Do any of you have a copy you could scan? I'm just looking for the pattern for style D. Help!!

I don't have it, but I suppose you've checked EBay?

MooseBeTimeForSnow · 16/01/2016 20:48

eBay is my last resort 😊

Have you tried any knitting sites?

Or free patterns online?

Might find something similar if it's not essential to have the exact one.

There is a free app called Scribd that has all 25 pages of Sirdar 271 on. I have just downloaded the app, signed in and viewed the pattern book. Very nice Aran patterns.

Have you tried Ravelry ?

tribpot · 16/01/2016 22:14

Good spot, WoollybacksWife. Would be great if more out-of-print stuff found its way to site like Scribd if Sirdar can't be arsed making them available electronically.

Footle · 16/01/2016 22:15

I've just found it on Ravelry. Didn't check if it's free or not, but you should be able to print it off within 5 minutes from now. Rav is free to join. Put Sirdar 271 into the pattern search box.

tribpot · 16/01/2016 22:16

It's index on Ravelry but you can't buy it there.

MooseBeTimeForSnow · 17/01/2016 00:39

Thanks WoollybacksWife. I'll download that now 😊

If you can't let us know. My aunt was a great knitter and I brought a lot of patterns back when we emptied the house I think I recognise that one. You can have it if I find it. I am de cluttering at the moment and my aunt and dad had cousins in Canada so I'm happy to send it if you can't download it.

MooseBeTimeForSnow · 17/01/2016 01:42

I got it. Thanks everyone!

Glad you've got it.

Was having a look at online patterns yesterday & came across this that I might have to knit!

Ditsy4 · 17/01/2016 09:50

Oh good.
Diddl - love that. I am only a basic knitter. My next project is to knit a handbag and then felt it. I have a crocheted baby blanket to finish before that.
