Can I *add* to a jumper to make it longer?

I have a jumper, and its too short (and a bit wide if i am honest) Its a loose 'fluffy' black knit, and I was just thinking maybe if I crochet some snowflakes, or get some sheer material to make it look like a fake blouse under it

has anyone done this?

Not done it but when I saw the title I was going to suggest it! I think. I would do a ruffle frill. Snowflakes would be lovely too and if it is a bit wide it might narrow it a bit.
Pictures please. Before and after!

This is brought jumper in peacocks I haven't actually done it. But this a fluffy/feather knit with a white sheer underneath to look like a fake t shirt.
It looks quite nice.

Would it just be machine stitching at the front and back?

If you did the blouse/t shirt thing you could wear it in October wear as snowflakes might make it look a bit Christmassy

its black loose knit, I have ordered some wide cotton lace to extend it - its coming from AliExpress, so might be a wait
