press studs/ snaps

I've been struggling with applying press studs on the baby clothes I've been making, and found the plastic snaps much easier. But they are so bulky and on lightweight dungarees for instance are too heavy. Any experts out there with any advice?

I have got a kit like this with lots of heavyweight snaps

www.auravita.com/vario-plus-assortment-kit-eyelets-fasteners/pGURE24175?refid=225&adid=GURE24175&gclid=CJHo67ammckCFerpwgodunYBMw

I then just buy whatever colour/size I need in the small plastic versions like these and use the pliers in the kit (adding the adapter from the new size snap kit).

Works fine - not bulky ime but I am not making baby clothes. What size are you using?

I think the ones I use are the same size as a size 20 cam snap. Tons of them here

I'd like to learn this as well. I'd like to put snaps in some home made baby clothes too - particularly dungarees.

Ooh yes , thanks. I'm using that kit too, and didn't realise you could get smaller ones. Have ordered size 16 as I'd been using size 20.

Cordelia- the kit is really easy to use. I'd been struggling with press studs and a different device that you hammer, with wonky success I have to say
