Quilting first timer query

Hello
I would be grateful for advice - I have made a quilt top using disappearing nine patch

I need to add border then backing and wadding - feel ok with that I think but no real idea how to do the actual quilting, I know I want to do it on machine as I hate hand sewing . I know I need a walking foot but how do you find a pattern ? As its all square design should it be straight line quilting or is it better to buy a template with a curved design? Also what sort of thread should I use? Any tips greatly received - I have found loads of excellent you tube tutorials on piecing the top but can't find anything on the quilting process itself - perhaps I'm looking in wrong place?

Could you just do it in the channels? So where the different pieces meet? That is the usual way for a patchwork type.

Otherwise I believe you mark the pattern on the plain side and follow that, of your own design, I have never seen a pattern for sale
