paint for plastic soup carton

To keep dc's occupied over half term here in Ireland we will be doing some 'arty / crafty' things. One of my DD's has saved plastic soup cartons and wants to paint /decorate them. Have I to get special paint or does she have to prep them in some way.

Acrylic or poster paint should work just fine

I've found that adding some PVA glue to poster paint helps it to adhere to the plastic.

yep to 'glopy' pva glue + posterpaint.
