Cutting satin on fold...

Am I better off tracing my pattern piece twice and sticking them together so I only have one piece = less chance for the fabric to slip and piece being uneven?

I have been known to make loops of masking tape (sticky side outwards) and use them to anchor the pieces together while cutting...

Oh, that would probably work! I'm washing it today so will try over the next few days on a corner & see how it goes.
