I don't really understand the different fabrics, or even know the names of different kinds. I need to make a drawstring bag for my nephew to keep his wooden train tracks in. So it has to be washable and strong. Everything I find with trains on seems to be flimsy cotton that is suitable for patchwork. I need something thicker, possibly canvas? Will that be too thick? Should I try oilcloth? Help me please!
