I've finally worked out how my new walking foot goes on my machine - what I can't figure out, is what the long arm bit is for Confused

Help! Smile

That didn't really come out like a question Blush

Have a search on youtube, it's hard to describe in words. I think the bit that you're talking about sits on the screw at the side of the foot holder to make the bit of the walking foot with the teeth rise and fall in time with the teeth underneath.

There may be 2 long arms ... One like a fork on mine that goes round the screw that holds the needle in, and some have a long thick wire arm that can be moved in and out . It is a guide for doing parallel rows .

Ah, yes, there's one that looks like a fork. I wiggled that to see what it did but couldn't work out the other one.

The second one can be moved in & out. I'll have a hunt on youtube for some videos of it in action.

It took ages to work out how to attach it Blush

Thank you both Smile
