Any soapmakers out there?

I have a specific question about fragrance. So far I have only used essential oils, but 2 drawbacks are it's expensive, and if the soap gels it can get rid of all the natural smell. I'm thinking of checking out fragrance oils
Has anyone used them? How does it work out? Do you use less than EO? What are the potential pitfalls?
I realise this is a little niche, but i'm hoping there are fellow soapers out there!

I have all the gear but no idea. I am going to give it a go one day though! I was watching a programme on TV about soap making a while ago but was interrupted by the phone, I had been waiting to watch it all day!
I do remember this soap maker saying that essential oils are not necessarily the best thing to use.
Have a look on the candle making thread, there might be something of interest on there.

Thanks! Just go for it. A friend showed me how and I'm hooked, I also did a one day course in London. I never buy soap anymore.
Have ordered 2 fragrance oils today. Will just try using same dosages as with essential oils.

I use fragrance oils in conjunction with essentials oils. The essential oil gives the properties of tje particular oil whereas the fragrance oil makes a strong scent that lasts much longer.
