Cotton, wool, acrylic or something else for crochet cushion covers?

I'm going to crochet some cushion covers for our living room. But I cant decide what sort of yarn to choose. Confused

Is cotton best - I'm guessing it won't bobble but might not feel snuggly
Acrylic would be cheap
Or is wool the most hard wearing? Or will it pill/ bobble?

Can anyone advise me please? :)

Thanks all!

Funnily enough I ordered some tan last night, and went for the drops cotton merino! Grin It was 25% off at wool warehouse until midnight last night so would have been rude not to!
Just hope the colours look right in the flesh... Confused
