Just done my FIRST fair...

Had a stall today at my daughter's school's Christmas fair. Was really nervous as never sold my cards publicly before.

I sold £30 worth!!! Most cards that were £1.50, some £2.00 ones too. Am really pleased as didn't expect to sell any!!

There were other sellers there but they were alot more expensive for ALL their cards. £30 to spend on card stuff now!

I was meant to do my school fair today but the PTA lady forgot to put my name down for a stall when I asked her way back in September so someone else got my slot. AND she was an outsider

Decided I'm no good at this craft fayre lark.....have just made 2 lariat style necklaces - one in orange/brown/yellow & one in shades of purple....but I like them so much I want to keep them now !!!

OK - someone give me an opinion. For DSs primary school Xmas fayre - how many Xmas & B Day cards do you think I should take ??
I don't really want to make a load just for the sake of it but then again, I don't want a half empty table !! ...and I cant remember what I took last year

Whizz - have you got a stand or anything to display them on? I took a card stand (my friend does Phoenix cards and it was one of those). I filled that up with about 20 cards and I have 6 open on the table for people to pick up and look at.

However I took 180 with me!!! (half mine half my mums) it was obviously waaaay too many to display but you live and learn!

I sold about 22 alltogether.

I found that little Ikea wooden 'drawers' fit cards in nicely !! I'm just putting some cards in bags now & pricing up. I seem to have quite a few so should be OK !
Think I'm going to concentrate more on jewellery though this time
