Knitting Debbie bliss Rialto

I'm not a great knitter, fair new.
I have bought some Rialto Chunky as I loved the feel of it but all the Debbie Bliss patterns are way too complicated with cabling etc.
Can anymore recommend a simple (very simple) ladies jumper/cardi pattern that knits up right in this wool.

Have you looked on Ravelry? Hopefully this link will work - there are lots of patterns and on the first page I can see one or two that don't have cables. You will probably have to pay for the pattern, although there may be some free ones.

If you aren't a member of Ravelry then it may be worth joining. I put 'Rialto' in as the search term and selected patterns from the drop down box. Ravelry has a really good search function.

What kind of knitting have you done before? Are you wanting to knit all in one piece or in smaller pieces, i.e. left front, right front, back, sleeves, then sew together?

On Rav you can see cardigans which have been knitted in this yarn in the past, there aren't loads but a few ideas here - maybe the Hannah Fettig? It's listed as Aran weight so there are thousands of cardigans you could go for. I would do it all in one piece (means picking up stitches for the sleeves and doing these in the round) - how about Harvest from Tin Can Knits? Their stuff is well written and clear. Or Blue Honey?

Ah so I could use an Aran pattern and it should be similar sizing.
I've just finished a knit and pearl jumper for my son but used the pattern that went with the wool. I want to use the Rialto Chunky but all Debbie Bliss patterns seem complicated.
Joined Ravelry now so will keep looking. I've just ripped up my circular needle mitts are I can't stand the tiny small needles a moment longer! Will look for a mitt pattern on normal needles.

Oh that Hannah Fettig one is perfect, just what I'm after but it needs a circular needle too

It's knit flat but all in one piece, so you use a circular needle to hold the right number of stitches. You knit back and forth on them as you would on straight needles. So you haven't got to use the tiny ones you didn't get on with, you would need a 5.5mm circular with a fairly long cord.

It looks as if the sleeves are knitted in the round but you can probably do them flat and them seam them afterwards, might need to add and extra stitch to each side of the pattern.

Most mittens are knit in the round as well, you probably need to get used to the Magic Loop method for knitting small circumference items.

The My First Raglan Cardigan, Fitted Jacket and Oh So Simple Cardigan look similar to the Hannah Fettig but are knit in pieces and seamed together (thus can be done on straight needles).

Learn to knit in the round.

Seaming is th work of the devil!!

My favourite winter jumper is a Hannah Fettig pattern. It took forever to knit as it is in fingering weight yarn but I wear it all the time and no one ever believes I knitted it !
