You'll love it, just to let you know it wouldn't cut card over 160grms no matter what they tell you. I've had mine since last March and I've used it loads of time.

Pixiefish · 22/11/2006 17:48

Apparently the new one does cut thicker card. Will be able to tell you on Friday night Caroline lol.

Pixiefish · 22/11/2006 18:47

Wow
Anyone want to by a secondhand Robo Craft

Pixiefish · 22/11/2006 20:14

at least you've had a lot of fun with it. You can get software upgrades for it as well so it's not redundant by any means

ooo pixiefish!! bet you're excited!! They look fab and I've heard good things about them. i was thinking about one..... after a bit of a save up. It's between that and a cricut.

Pixiefish · 23/11/2006 19:13

well rmmeber that dh will be able to get them if you do want one champs. They're in pretty short supply and limited atm but dh can get hold of them for a wee while.

Have to say I ummed and ahed about the cricut but the cost of the extra cartridges puts me right off

OP posts:
champs · 23/11/2006 20:52

will have a good think... the need to keep buying cartridges is deff a con.

craft robo, i can use all the (many!) fonts I have on pc.
only thing is I have to use templates and outlining stuff....

Whizzz · 23/11/2006 20:54

Pixiefish · 23/11/2006 21:27

Apparetnly the templates are very easy to come by on UKS and the net. Will tell you more next week once I've had a play

Carolinett · 24/11/2006 22:13

Pixiefish · 24/11/2006 22:15

Carolinett · 24/11/2006 22:30

Have looked at the font selection on the robo I seem to have loads to choose from and there was something I saw I think it was a cd it shows you how to join up the letters on the robo I'll see if I can find it again

Carolinett · 24/11/2006 22:33

it took me ages to find a gold or silver pen that fit in the aperture. I don't know if the new robo one is wider

Carolinett · 24/11/2006 23:26

Found it, it's in the robo tutorial, you download open office, it's a free down load and you can weld the letters together. I'll have a go tomorrow.

Pixiefish · 25/11/2006 06:53

I'm off to a retreat in Northwich today and won't be back till tomorrow so i won't have a chance to play today or tomorrow. I cut some templates from UKScrappers out last night and I have to say he really is fantastic.
