There are some here but look a bit all in one- scroll down for some better pics. Or more here or here, but just the one flower I beg you . If they're no good you might have to save up for Nicky Epstein's book on them...

Those flowers on the last link look lovely, but I don't understand why they haven't covered the entire sweater in them .

Sorry, no useful input, but I have found some great baby hat patterns online lately. Look at this , and also this .

Aha, I searched the site using "flower" because corsage didn't bring much up and I knew I'd seen loads on there.

NQC, that would have been so much lovelier, wouldn't it? Slimming, too

Gillian76 · 21/11/2006 19:58

If they have a knitted uterus you'd expect knitty to have the odd flower, wouldn't you?!

tamum · 21/11/2006 19:58

Well quite, all human life is there

NotQuiteCockney · 21/11/2006 20:05

This one is my personal favourite of all the weirdo baby hats out there.

I really do have to start designing weirder hats, don't I.

tamum · 21/11/2006 20:08

Oh....my....god. Someone not only designed and knitted it, they helpfully wrote out the pattern so other people could too. Wow.

NotQuiteCockney · 21/11/2006 20:16

Isn't it great?

Annoyingly it's not knitted in the round, so I will have to fix it. And those tentacles clearly should be made using tubular knitting, right?

Sarcastic? Moi?

NotQuiteCockney · 22/11/2006 19:46

But the squid hat is lovely! I am honestly boggled that someone could not think so.

I am tempted to make myself one, tbh.

I think that squid hat is great!

A nautilus hat pattern would be tricky, wouldn't it? I was working on a spiral hat pattern at one point, but it was very hairy (making the spiral by knitting a spiral shape, using short rows, and knitting in bits of the previous rows to hold it together). I will probably start up again, sometime.

Also, you'd need some fancy yarn colour to make it work ...
