Patterned paper for decorations & glue gun

I'm making a load of paper decorations for a big family party & need to buy quite a bit of paper for it. Anyone recommend where to buy nice patterned paper reasonably priced (A4 & A3 if pos).

I'll also need a hot glue gun, never used one. Are the cheap £5-6 any good?

TIA

What sort of decorations? Wrapping paper might work out more cost effective.

That is a good idea Mrs but I don't really want the hassle of all the measuring & cutting exactly square. I'll be making paper fans (A4 & A3 for these) & origami butterflies (smaller square sizes 6x6 maybe) that paper would be better double sided too.

I've bought from www.handyhippo.co.uk/ before and really like them.

I also buy quite a bit from an American website called scrap your trip - they won't do A4 and A3 but will have squares. I find they're cheaper for stuff even with postage.

Otherwise independent local craft shops will probably be the best place. or maybe Create & Craft?
