Anyone fancy helping pick blanket colours?

I'm going to make dd a crochet blanket, using the cherry heart weekender hexagon pattern

Dd has requested red, pink, purple, orange and yellow - but she is 4 so has not fully developed her colour picking skills other than "as many as possible"! Grin

So, we seem to have compromised on these colours so far. I think it might need some neutrals? Could anyone help?

Gosh I'd just do it in the colours she'd asked for but I'm not known for my good taste.

I'd giver her the colours she wants too. It's not like it's going to be "on show".

I think those colours look lovely - the pale pinks and yellows will offset the brighter ones and your DD will be thrilled that you've picked the colours together.

Love that pattern. Might have to talk to my mum about that!

I've been asked to crochet a blanket and have chosen purple, red and fuschia. If funds had allowed I would have added orange/gold/teal. Beautiful jewel colours Grin

Thanks all! I'm still debating which colours - especially as I've realise I need more otherwise colours will be touching iyswim. Confused

I've got some saffron yarn at home and it's really really yellow. A bit too strong I think....

What about Meadow and Fondant as well? I wouldn't add any neutrals in, partly because I'd struggle to find one that ties it all together and partly because your daughter has picked such lovely bright colours. I will also admit I am crap with colour selection Blush

Dd doesn't want green - it's a yucky colour! Confused I like meadow
I have some fondant so will see how it looks but might be too bright.
I've put a lot of yarn in my basket at wool warehouse, just mulling it I've before I click order. Grin

I'm hoping for soft versions of red, pink, purple, orange and blue. If I order enough then I'm bound to get it right! Confused Grin
