Well, it's seems ages since I have last posted here!!! Amelia is now at full time mainstream school and things are not exactly going well. I have had verylittle time for crafting, all my time seems to be spent fighting the school/LEA to try to get Amelia assessed/statemented and supported in class. It's gonna be a long hard road!

I really must be able to switch off from it all and need to throw myself back int o my crafting. So any of you out there that know me from the past, or even a few newbies that are willing...please come along and give me a kick up the backside to get some stock together for some very needed fundraising for our Down Syndrome group!

Hi Dingle, sorry you've been having such a hard time. Yes do get back into your crafts, it'll be relaxing for you.

Dingle · 09/11/2006 13:10

I really need to find my motivation again anorak. Got a few card orders to make up and a few beaded phone charms but I just can't get myself motivated. I know it will probably do me the world of good, but once kiddies are in bed for the night, I am so physically and emotioanlly drained all I want to do is curl up and sleep myself!!

Hi Dingle! Good to 'see' you again!
Sorry things aren't going too well for you.
I'm sure if you start with a couple of 'easy' cards you'll get back into the swing of things and enjoy the relaxation and creativity - doing something for you iyswim.
(I know what you mean about motivation - I should not be messing around on mn right now!!)

anorak · 09/11/2006 13:48

Just sit down and make 'one' card and perhaps you'll feel like doing more...

champs · 10/11/2006 01:42

hiya dingle!!

sorry things are ruff at mo.

as everyone else has said, try sitting down and doing one thing and it will (hopefully) lead into more. sometimes the crafting mojo is reactivated as soon as we "do" something... it's just the getting on with doing the thing that takes the time

Dingle · 10/11/2006 10:40

I have treated myself to a few xmas QK dies and all I seem to want to do it sit and cut and glue. I suppose I like the ease of it, it doesn't really take a lot of creative ability, just patience and a steady hand!

I keep telling myself I will be prepared for making up my chrissy cards,,,then I sell the the die cuts on Ebay!!!

Dings, hiya, I don't think anyone is crafting as intensively as we did last year. We are all mojo'd out. It's a positive shame as last year I looked forwards to sitting and crafting. Nice to see you anyway

Dingle · 10/11/2006 17:47

How are you keeping UCM?

Hiya Dingle. I too have lost by carding mojo despite having a big stash of new stuff sat looking at me.....Getting obsessed with beading again though ! I now have a Royal Warrant from the Anti-crafting Cod

UCM · 11/11/2006 07:51

I am on crutches with SPD at the moment. Don't want to wish pregnancy away, but it's what I am doing as I can't really get out & about at the moment, which is horrendous for me. Am usually all over the shop! Only 10 more weeks to go. Yayyyyy

Dingle · 11/11/2006 08:11

Oh honey, not long then...goodness only 10 weeks to go, that seems to have flown by!!!

LOL...well for me it did.

ahhh Dingle wondered where you had been. Nice to see you back again You have been a true inspiration to me re: crafting in the past and am you have been having such a rough time.

Dont suppose there is any chance for someone to take the kids out one Saturday afternoon to give you a bit of crafting time when you are not so tired? As people say, bet when you do one card, your motivation will come flooding back

Dingle · 11/11/2006 09:01

hiya poppies! Would love to see some of your work honey.

Hubby has just been off of work to have a hernia op, so taking Amelia out for a couple of hours isn't really an option at the moment.

I though that when Amelia started school I would have so much more time for crafting, but instead I am filling out more forms, making appointments, and fighting tribunals!!{

Hopefully it will calm down soon, I am trying to find some crafting time this weekend.

Hi Dingle - are you gettting any crafting time this weekend?

I should get round to putting some of my work on here but am a bit dense when it comes to computers.... not sure how to do it .... go to do it and then my brain goes into "computer panic mode' ! LOL

Hope you manage to get some 'you' time. I think it is long overdue.

UCM · 12/11/2006 13:26

What I think is scaring me a bit is that I got my DH to turn a whole room into a crafting emporium for moi and spent 100's of pounds on stash and it's all just sitting there looking bored
