Chartreuse back
What stitch colour?
Am soooo nervous to use my walking foot for first time Shock

White thread, deffo. Will lift the chartreuse, give texture on the white & contrast nicely with the black. Silver is another possibility.

having said that, alternative could be a pale gray, but I think it will wash out on the chartreuse.

ps: you owe us pics when done :). Are you using a darning foot for the fancy stuff?

Have you considered a variegated thread? Black/grey/white could be quite effective. Would probably just go for white if it was me.

Pantograph, that's it. Mine are pants but you only get better with experience.

What about a complete contrast like cerise pink? Would show up beautifully on the black and white and is practically opposite chartreuse on the colour wheel.

All inspired went to hobbycraft only to find they had run out of most things due to a stock take - not even decent quality gutter man in white!!
