I've enjoyed the Martina Behm scarves/wraps on Ravelry. Lintilla in particular - and used sock wool. All garter but a fancy edging pattern to give it interest. They look great in variegated wool. Smile

I made a lovely scarf in something called 'farrow rib' from Ravelry. Easy but not boring, with a pretty almost lacy effect. I expect you could find it if you search farrow rib on Ravelry.

Sweet dreams from boo knits. Just take some stitch markers as it is lace. Also fancy her dragonfly pattern.

I enjoyed knitting Lintilla and it gives a lovely squishy garter stitch scarf when done.

A friend was recommending one of her lacy ones ?Margarethe over the weekend.

My current knitting and I''ve just come off a 5 hour train journey is estuary by tin can knits. Again I suggest you Use stitch markers as it is lace!

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Lurkers you have exactly hit the nail on the head and made me cry a little. Now it a bad way really.

It has to be a lintilla.

I lost my mojo when my mum died in February. The beautiful chocolate and cherry hand dyed lintilla that I made for her was my bit of knitting that I dressed her in.

Big hugs to you. I hope you have a lovely trip and fond memories of your mum as you knit a 'memory ' Lintilla.

Very sorry to hear about your mum. The journey is a great time to get your knitting mojo back. Technically Eurostar claim you need to be using incredibly short needles (I was knitting a hat so got lucky) but in reality I don't believe they actually check.

If you want a second project (sounds like you've decided on Lintilla)
I would do socks - my current fave sock yarn is Country Birds from West Yorkshire Spinners (you can see how they look in sock form here. For this yarn you would want to just for a plain design but in plain or semi-solid yarn I would go for:

Lateral

Firenze

KawKawesque

Reverso

And crazy fun socks Squircle
