My friend bought some on eBay before that she was pleased with. I will watch this thread eagerly though In case there's more places that pop up and I can recommend!! Smile

I have bought several fabrics on line in the last couple of weeks from ebay. The one that stands out is Calico Laine. The fabric arrived promptly, the colour matched the on line colour swatch and they included a 10% off next purchase voucher when next purchase ordered direct from their shop.

Are you looking for small amounts of fabric - for small craft projects, patchwork etc, or longer lengths for dressmaking?

FiveGoMadInDorset · 31/03/2015 19:08

Dressmaking predominantly, have a very good quilting store nearish but no dress material shops. Just brought some from myfabrics.co.uk but yesterday struggled to place an order. Just wondered what else was out there.

Do you have a Fabricland near you? Their website is terrible but as I live close to one of their shops I find it really useful (and it's pretty cheap)

Halsall · 31/03/2015 19:11

Minerva are very good. Lots of choice and they're extremely efficient. Used by lots of sewing bloggers too.

ditto fabrics - dittofabrics.co.uk/
fabrics galore - www.fabricsgalore.co.uk/
MacCulloch and Wallis - www.macculloch-wallis.co.uk/Default.aspx
Cloth House - www.clothhouse.com/shop-home/
Ray Stitch - raystitch.co.uk/
I buy from all these shops, mostly in store and they all have a good range of fabrics.

MangosMangosMangos · 01/04/2015 20:59

I have been wanting to get to this shop as I love the fabrics that they sell, they are online too.

Ishouldbeweaving · 03/04/2015 09:38

I'm making a few shirts for my husband and have had good luck (so far) with ebay. I would like somewhere that I could walk into and touch the fabric before I buy but that's just a dream, it's going to have to be online.

Haggisfish · 03/04/2015 09:42

Ooooh thanks for these!

Fruityb · 03/04/2015 09:48

I also recommend calico lane and Minerva. Bought from both several times and it arrives quickly and is good stuff. Calico lanes gabardine is awesome.

lurkerspeaks · 03/04/2015 09:54

I like plush addict online, village haberdashery and raystitch both online and in-store.

bec5670 · 03/04/2015 09:56

Betsy Boo Haberdashery have a page on Facebook and sell lots of lovely fabrics including some liberty prints.

Mouthfulofquiz · 03/04/2015 10:13

Calico Laine and also plush addict - both arrived really quickly and have an excellent range. Just need to find time to actually sew something and not just create a large collection of folded cloth!

thatsn0tmyname · 03/04/2015 10:15

I've use Kids Fabrics twice and they're fine.
