I was thinking of making a couple to fit my double buggy. Has anyone made one before and do you think it would be fairly easy ?

i made a blanket for my buggy, just bought some fleecy material, folded a flap over at the bottom and stitched the edges, then added ribbons to the corners to tie to the frame
didn't take long at all and i'm no expert!
the flap gave ds somewhere to tuck his feet and it covered the rest of him too without the need for holes for the straps

ooo thanks folks - well I might give it a go. I was thinking along the lines of a simple sleeping bag shape. Got a sewing machine recently and need to try and make something with it !

i made one too.
i made it because my DS was too tall for commercial ones. it wasn't really difficult ....i passed it on to someone on MN.....hmmmm who??

There is a shop in our town centre which sells these at 50.00 a go. Lots of wonderful patterns etc. BUT they are only fleece double sided and stitched into a sleeping bag....

So if you got 2 pieces of fleec and stitched them together but leave room at the side for some buttons or velcro, I think that it would be quite easy. I am going to try to make on for my baby, I think.

Planning to make one here too as too tight to pay £50!! Have found some lovely ladybird print fake fur on ebay. Should cost about £15 to make as am planning to do it double thickness.

They cost a bomb!

My sister made me one for about £5.
