Help
Want a walking foot for novice quilting
Have a singer tradition from JL, the walking foot is £30, on amazon generics are much less but sooo many to choose from
Can you recommend one?
Thanks

Not sure you can go cheap with a walking foot, its quite a gizmo.

I have a Brother Star 3 sewing machine, so I went for the Brother walking foot. I think must have had it at least 16 years and it cost more than £30 then.

I wouldn't go generic as they don't work as well. Once you have the walking foot you'll wonder what you did before - I use mine for quilting, sewing jersey, thicker fabrics, leather, velvet and coated fabrics.

I did get myself a generic one from ebay for about GBP10 - where I live it was going to cost me more like GBP60 for an Elna one. Fairly sure mine was a cheapy one from China with free postage.

works just fine - brilliant for stripe matching on clothes
