It's not quite enough for a third dress for school for dd1, no matter which way I fold the fabric/lay my pattern.

Does anyone have any non school ish ideas for something I could make with it? (if not it'll end up in my ever growing stash until I find a use for it Grin )

A simple elasticated skirt, maybe with some sort of trim to take away the school feel? Smile.

We are off to Italy this week, I looked at the weather forecast earlier for the first time, 20 degrees and sunny. Nothing fits my nearly 9 year old that fitted last summer. I have whizzed up three lovely skirts today in some Cath Kidston fabrics I had bought for a quilt. I had six half metre pieces and the CK was wider than the other stuff. They are lovely! Will look fab with white shoes and, hopefully the floral canvas things that should arrive tomorrow.

Or some seat covers, drawstring bag, pinny???

Or maybe think about putting it towards a quilt??

Do you have enough for an apron each for them? Maybe with some white added?
Doll's bedding?

PE bags?

I have a quilt in mind already for dd1 (for Christmas) & it wouldn't work in that - Stampy from Minecraft.

Pinny would be school ish & we definitely don't need any more bags!

Dolls clothes are a good idea though - dd2 might like a school dress for her Build a Bear monkey. & would probably wear a little skirt with some sort of trim. I reckon I'd still have leftovers for something small.

Oooh, dolls house stuff would be fun! I cleared it out and tidied it up the other day Grin & was thinking about giving it a facelift.

Elephant or other toy. My daughters Jane bull "crafty creatures" book has a really simple but very cure pattern and that was done in red gingham with red felt ears-green just as good. Or pe kit bag or apron.

Someone at our school makes gingham hair accessories and sells them.

Big, I like the sound of the elephant, they're my favourite animal! I'll have a hunt, see if I can find it online.
