Repurposing clothes - what have you made?

I'm throwing out an old pair of trousers and apart from the knackered waistband the legs are fine. So I've salvaged the buttons and cut the legs off...but for what purpose I don't know!

I'm kind of thinking along the lines of the Sewing Bee when they make new things out of old, and wondered if anyone regularly has sewn something out of old dresses/shirts/trousers etc?

My DH is having a closet clear out too so thinking his man-sized tops would be useful...

I'm very new to sewing but I chopped up some of DHs old work shirts to make pillow cases for DSs pillow, appliquéd some shapes on as well.

I want to have a go at making slippers out of an old pair of jeans too.

I've seen jeans legs used as bags for things like folding easels (or might have been a folding camping stool, something leggy, anyway).

Cut up a few more and make a rag quilt?

I've made a quilt cover out of the kids' old pyjamas. Needs the edging sewing on, now I come to think of it -- that would be a nice job for a wet Sunday morning!

I used dark jeans legs to cover seats mixed with light blue velvet on dark wood chairs it looks stunning. I make rags ont of DP's old T-shirts. Quilts are great for repurposing.

Sleeves from jumpers can make adult leg warmers. The body of the jumper then makes a cushion cover.

I just remembered I made a tablet (like ipad) cover from jeans leg. The rest of the fabric went in my sewing box to be used to patch jeans.

Shirts and cardigans into cushion covers, a massive circle skirt into a tube dress and then into a tube skirt. I have a box full of old clothes that I will use to sew into nice things, one day.
