I have my Birthday present early by a couple of weeks Smile

It is the Juki 644D. Its beautiful and a 4 thread. My current overlocker is a 3 thread Janome MyLock. But as a 3 thread isn't suitable for lycra, I'm trading up.

So I'm having fun with my new machine and it fulfils all my serging wants but hells bells it was a sod to thread or are all 4 thread overlocker's the same Confused

Happy birthday fortified! That is a lovely present.

I have a 4 thread which I find very easy to thread - I think this link is the video I watched at first but I can't see it on my iPad.

Thanks for the Birthday greeting Smile and the link.

My machine is a lot more fiddly, DH had to help me and I may have called it a bastarding thing Blush.

The first day it took us 1hour and 30 minutes to thread. I can thread the needles now - I've discovered if I wear reading glasses and use my distance glasses as a magnifying glass, I can see what I'm doing.

I've run out of thread, so off to the shops for me tomorrow.

I have a Janome and can now thread it in 5 mins, it is practice though. One tip, once threaded and working - to change threads snip your thread by the spool and knot on new threads and pull through.
here's a link to the Janome youtube - may be search your machine on you tube - or go to where the machine was bought and have a lesson.

Confusion I used to work at the needlecraft shop I got my new machine from Blush. My ex-manager gave me a demo of what the machine can do but already had the machine threaded up.

I have booked up a group lesson which I'm looking forward too Smile

Trouble is in recent years my eye sight has really gone down the pan and I'm finding being left handed PITA threading. My Janome was earlier.
