I'm desperate to find an oversize bow die cut for thick fabric. I've found the perfect shaped one but it will only cut fine fabrics and I need it to be heavy duty! Please can anyone help?!

Do you mean a die to use in a BigShot or similar? What's the one that's perfect like?

GetOutOfBed · 25/03/2015 09:51

Yes! I'm after a deep cutting one, they're normally covered in foam?
The one I've got is this one

I've got several MFT dies (not that one) & they cut felt beautifully, I've also cut thin plastic, cork and wood. What do you want to cut?
That's a lovely die. I neeeeed it now!! :)

this any good?

There's a Brenda Walton die in the 'people also buy' bit of that Amazon page too. Would that be any good? Bigz dies will cut anything.

It's a heavy denim type fabric with a covering and it marks it but won't cut it. I'm so Sad as it's literally the perfect shape! I've ordered that Brenda one and got the sizzix one but they're just not 100% what I want!

That's a shame. Does it mark it enough for you to cut the marked lines? It's a fairly simple shape so should be easy to cut by hand.
Have you tried a shim? That might give the die a bit of extra 'oomph'.
I shall keep looking! :)

GetOutOfBed · 25/03/2015 10:28

I've tried a shim but it makes it really hard to pass through the machine and I don't want to wreck the rollers (or gears or whatever they are!) I will just have to hand cut.
