DD (14) has decided she'd like a jewellery-making party for her birthday, just a few friends gathered around the table nattering and creating jewellery.

"Great" I thought, "easy and cheap", but now the date is fast approaching (28th) and I realise I haven't a clue where to begin. She's grown out of beads and elastic, any advice anyone?

Even if you get all the stuff (eBay is great for this) I would say you need to get someone in to actually show them what to do if none of them have done this before, its not as straightforward as it looks if you want to do proper stuff

I don't know numbers or budget but would buying several of these be any good. Most of the beading sites like Bluestreak beads do kits, Beads Direct are very good and have video tutorials to give you an idea of level of difficulty

I have crafted for many years, mainly paper crafting in the last 10-12 years. I've had a bit of a break and now I have been bitten by the "Beady Bug." I am addicted to beads!

Might not be suitable for her party but I have made a few "laddered stitch" wrap bracelets that are quite easy and could be made at a reasonable price depending on the materials. Minimal equipment, just a clip board or bulldog clip.
