What can I knit with this?

I am really trying very hard to avoid buying much new yarn while I get rid of my stash. Years ago, a friend gave me something she had started to knit, I think it was something like a short-sleeved bolero. So long ago I can't remember but that is about the quantity of yarn I have.
It is plain cotton, cream. I am not sure if it is dishcloth cotton? Seem to think there was a bit of a craze for using it in the 80s. I don't want to knit dishcloths which I would never use and it was originally intended for a garment. It is about double knit but on the thick side and being pure cotton (I think) has no give in it at all.
What can I make with it? Any suggestions gratefully received!

toddler cardigan for the summer?

A bag? A cushion cover with fancy stitches? Or knit the dish cloths and give them away?

You could put the parameters into www.ravelry.com and see what patterns it throws up?

I made a hat from cotton yarn - it was nearly all moss stitch (or seed stitch to Americans) as moss stitch has more give in it than stocking stitch it was fine. Why is it you don't want to make a bolero with it as originally planned? If you know any one with a small girl you could make a simple girls tunic dress with it as a gift, the kind with buttons on the shoulder (am on phone, will post a link in next comment) otherwise with that small a quantity i can't think of an alternative adult garment

Something like this rebeccagunn.blogspot.co.uk/2011/07/super-simple-baby-tunic.html?m=1

I didn't knit the original garment and I don't know what it was, it was probably nearly 30 years ago!!
I love those ideas thanks e effort do much. It is lovely and soft do I think it would make a beautiful garment for a toddler, kind of rustic/country/stocky looking.
