Anyone on etsy?

I've just started an etsy shop and I was just wondering if there was a knack to getting more views ?

I'm a complete novice and have just stuck my stuff on with the hope someone will find it. It just seems to get lost in the masses of stuff that's already on.

If you're on etsy let me know what your shop name is and I'll check it out Smile

I am, but I suspect you'll get deleted if they think you're touting for business via here!

Have you read the sellers handbook and hints and tips pages? Also maybe join a forum or two to get ideas?

Make sure your photos are clear and in good light, you need good descriptions clearly detailing size of item, materials used etc.

I assume you're selling handmade items?

Feel free to PM me your shop name and I'll have a gander if you like?

Oh I didn't know that thanks annie ! I saw a link to the sellers handbook so I'll have a look at that.

Thanks a million for the tips.

Hi nocturne and Annie, I would be interested in knowing how you get on, have been thinking about etsy but wondering if I would get lost , I make soy wax candles and there are lots on etsy

Nocturne123 · 04/03/2015 19:47

I feel a bit lost at the moment to be honest but just went for it anyway . It's not expensive and I've joined folksy as well.

I'm going to take Annie's advice and read the sellers handbook to see what other tips I can get.

Soy candles are lovely

I'm not on Etsy as a seller but I shop on there a lot and I would say about 80% of stuff I find via Instagram pages so my advice would be to utilise social networks to get people seeing your stuff- with your shop link in your bio.

Thanks cecy ! I never would've thought to use Instagram I will definitely check it out
