Dp wants a board game for xmas that is no longer made (divine right if anyone is interested-some special anniversary version though)

so I am going to make one for him, cos I am mad like that, oh yes.

So.

I need somewhere that will blow up my wonky drawing of a board (ripped off their website, which kindly also supplies the rules and a list of pieces etc) and preferably make it in some way laminated or similar.

I can email them a jpg image. Might even stretch to gif.

Any ideas?

Sorry if this is a completely dumb question but there is little call for laminating A1 photos in my life.

Did a search and came up with this place - looks like you want 'encapsulating' rather than laminating (ie, both sides, not just one). Min order £30.

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 22/10/2006 11:58

ah, thanks jackie

that looks good

don't think I actually need the £30 option but I dunno, I suppose I can get him two boards for his game, it is xmas after all...

or I could make it HUGE...

Another one here .

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 22/10/2006 11:59

Yes - I suspect that you'd just have to pay £30 even if the actual cost was less, iyswim.

charliecat · 22/10/2006 11:59

whats the game?

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 22/10/2006 12:01

ok, this is obscenely dumb, do you reckon the price for laminated posters includes actually printing the posters, or is it an extra ?

I mean, is it £7 to print and then £7 for laminating, do you reckon?

divine right? anything here ?

charliecat · 22/10/2006 12:01

this it?

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 22/10/2006 12:02

Divine Right, Charlie. But 25 anniversary edition I think. Or possibly, its not the 25th aniversary one, I can't remember. I know there's a picture of the board somewhere on the computer, which dh occasionally oogles.

thats it, charlie!

But, they're going for about $80, plus shipping on it to the UK is going to be a lot, so...too much .

I thought it might be cheaper than gathering the stuff needed, as it sometimes is.

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 22/10/2006 12:09

aw, thanks for loooking though charlie, and jackie.

Am kind of looking forward to making the game now, i think. I think. I will not be saying this at 3.am on xmas morning when I am sat trying to model elves out of clay.

Model elves. YOu're a brave, brave woman. Good luck with it.

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 22/10/2006 12:55

I'm going to have to get one of those MN blockers, I think

otherwise I will be on here at 3am, chatting to new zealanders about how I still haven't made my clay elves.

Could you cut it into A4 size and laminate separately and then use something like a pice of sticking plaster behind on the seams so it folds up without splitting, like a trivial pursuit board

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 22/10/2006 15:39

yes, I considered this, but I don't actually have an A4 laminator.

Am considering that avenue, though.
