Booked my first xmas fair!!!!!

It's on the 2nd Dec and i'm slightly cacking it!!!

I do have lots of cards though so fingers crossed for me.

School Fare in Hampshire, hopefully not too scary

I'm going to make some mobile danglies and wine glass charms too so i hope i do well.

What things will you be selling?

Oooooo how exciting, good luck. Lots of change and the pound shop are doing table top art easels for guess what a pound, which look nice with cards or a nice poster saying hand made cards on. I use plate displayers to put mine up.

Oooh fab idea about the easel. I'm going into town tomorrow so i will deffo have a look.

I've made cushions with padded felt applique, felt mobiles, han-painted small canvases, book marks, xmas tree decs etc.
Anymore ideas ?

Do you have paper bags or carrier bags or something else??

I didnt even think of it before but i suppose i should have something.

Also, any ideas on what to put danglies and glass charms in?

I thought about tissue paper for my 'danglies'. You can fold them over and tape tissue down and keep them from getting tangle up. You can get cheap paper bags from places like ebay.
How are you displaying your charms, are you hanging them up ? I'm not sure how I'm going to display my mobiles, they are single strand vertical mobiles - any ideas ?
I'm getting quite stressed about it all. I'm also wondering how to dress the table to make it attractive for people to want to come and see what I've got. Daft really but I keep thinking I'll be bringing back all the stuff I've made - what will I do with it ?

Not sure who has done fairs before, just a tip from previous experience. Most people don't bring a lot of cash to spend, by the time thay have given their kids a couple of pounds and bought from the school/ charity stall they don't have that much to spend.

My freind that does craft items takes a lot of cheaper items to get interest and sales on the night, but uses it to showcase all the bigger items she does too. Important thing is to give people information on how they can buy from you in the future ie website or future fairs.

My stuff is all pocket money prices and most of my sales are on the night, but I still hand out cards.

God i hadnt thought about how im gong to display my danglies! With the wine glass charms i will have a glass or 2 to show them off. Think i will pinch your tissue paper idea as its cheap and simple.
I have looked on ebay but dont want to spend a fortune in case i dont do any more fairs.

I am hoping to interest the children by doing a lucky dip! Big bucket at the front with prizes like huge pencils/pens/notepads etc. Have to be careful though as its supposed to be just a card stall and craft items.

I've made a couple of felt bookmarks and some keyrings but am at a loss as to what other small, cheap items I can make. Help !

Thats it reel the kids in and the parents have to come over. I often see card stalls in particular deserted. People have a quick scan as they walk past and keep going so having a mix of things and the little pocket money things are great.

Are you really wanting to get rid of one?

Yes I think I have 3 DD has one for her jewelry so I should have two spare and a bracelet one too. You get a new one with each order so they pile up .

Right managed to dig out 1 necklace one and one bracelet one postage would be about £2 each. The necklace ones base is a bit loose but makes it easier to remove it for posting, would just need gluing or even better a screw to make it secure.

I would love one please. Which one would be best for mobile phone danglies? How would you like me to pay you?

How long are the danglies?

Necklace one has 23cm to 31cm drop and
Bracelet one 9cm to 14cm.
