Anyone ever had salt dough eaten by mice?

DM is horrified we are making salt dough decorations. She thinks they are an invitation for mice. Is this the case?

Not salt dough, but I made a gingerbread man garland with a recipe that used cinnamon and apple sauce and they're still around (nibble-free and smelling wonderful) many years later. Pretty sure the mice won't be arsed about your salt dough decorations. Is she worried about when they're on display or when you store them in the loft? Either way I don't think she needs to worry!

No but my cats ate some salt dough loaves I made for my Sindy house when I was a child They were very thirsty and lathargic afterwards.

No, but if you are worried, just keep them in an old biscuit or sweet tin - no mouse will get into one of those provided it isn't bent. I keep all my decorations in them anyway.
