Any hints and tips for using a craft knife with a swivel blade?

I mentioned to my dad that I could do with one for cutting stencils & he's bought me this one

I had a go at using it yesterday & the blade won't do what I want it to...HELP!

Count your fingers! Other than that, no idea

hmmm, me neither. I thought the swivel blade would make cutting swirly bits easier but am not so sure now

We bought something similar for DT at school. The deputy head checked how sharp they were.... by swivel the blade with her finger. Ouch!

oooh, ouch! I haven't done that...yet!

Did she get on with them ok?
