I was once a mad self taught knitter, but haven't done any for years - however I was in a shop today, which had Rowan kits for knit your own corsage. I'd just been admiring a knitted hat with corsage that one of the school mums was wearing this morning and decided that the two experiences meant that I am now destined to knit my own. However, being broke and a skinflint i didn't want to spend £9 on the Rowan kit, so wondered if any of you folks know how to do it or where to look.

I can feel it's time to look a the boxes of yarn hiding under the bed and dust off my needles, winters here and it's time to get knitting.

I think someone on here knits flowers. If you do a search through the archives, something will turn up?

i have made one before from a thin knitted scarf by gathering one long edge, and winding it round and round. does that make sense?
