Have redecorated the room, the lampshade, which is white, is fine, but the base is the wrong colour.
Looking on line it seems I would have to fire the base if I painted it with the special paint which is not possible as the fitments are fixed to it. How long would it last if I just slapped on some emulsion or oil based paint (if that is still available)?
It's a seldom used guest room.
