Can anyone fix my sewing machine?

My mind has gone blank (pregnancy brain!) so please forgive my lack of proper names for things.

I have a JL sewing machine (purple if it matters) it was all going well until I threaded if up and tried to use it as normal to find its jammed up top somewhere.

Here's the technical bit

The turny wheel thing in the side to move the needle up and down won't move at all, it's completely stuck.
Can it be fixed do you think?
It's relatively new so I don't want to have to spend out to replace if already.

It sounds like the thread is trapped and probably blocking everything somewhere.
I don't know the English terms but have you taken the spool thing out? Try to get the needle out before you break it.

There isn't anything to see! I've unthreaded the whole bottom of it, there is no spool in there and there is no thread visible in the top, although that doesn't mean there isn't any jammed in internals.

I can take the needle out but there isn't anything too break it because it's not moving at all.

I can get to the inner workings to see if there is a thread jam because it's a sealed unit.

The wheel on the right is meant to pop out a bit so you can freely turn it up and down to thread the machine, but it's stuck solid like something it's trapping the mechanism.

Sounds like the thread is jammed in the non-accessible bit, or the thing is broken. Can you take it to JL? They have people there explaining their machines, they may be willing to have a look.

Or you could undo the foot thingy, at the screw, and try to get to whatever is blocking it from underneath.

Random thought : you haven't knocked the bobbin wonder thing so the machine thinks it's winding a bobbin? On some machines, the wheel is locked when bobbin winding so that the needle doesn't go hand down.
