What colour back for this patchwork quilt?

I'm needing some inspiration, I'll get a single fabric for the back, what style or colour would be best? And then what colour thread to do the stitching in? TIA.

Gorgeous quilt. What about a mid blue or grey back? I tend to do the quilting in white but then I am not very adventurous with quilting!

Although Purple is my favourite colour I think I'd be tempted to turquoise or one of the greens

I'd go for a purple fabric backing that tones with the purple used on the front. Then I'd also use a slightly deeper purple thread for the top stitching (I take it you mean the quilting).

But then again I'm a purple nut!

That's a beautiful quilt! I'd go for white,purple,or lime backing. Definitely purple stitching.

ooh, I hadn't thought of lime. & Thanks for the compliments. Either lime or a pale lilac I think. I don't know why but I don't want a dark colour. Cheers.

I wish I wasn't so rubbish at quilting, it's quite the art form in itself, isn't it?!
