Mini sewing machine recommendations?

I need something for sewing up seams on vintage clothes which often come undone.

Am toying with this JL one- does anyone have it? I don't want to spend too much on one, but I will need it to be able to sew thicker polyester etc.

Any recommendations gratefully received.

Think there's a mini sewing mc in aldi this week. No idea if it's any good but think it was about £15. Xx

I was about to come on and say aldi are doing one for £15 well worth a go at that price. I have a few normal sized machines and my fav ATM is the IKEA one about £50 and fits back into its strong box perfectly

Thanks both- I should've said, I need to be able to buy it online... Which seems to rule out both the Ikea and the Aldi one.

I've got that one in bright purple . I'm not an avid dressmaker or anything, but it has been great for running up costumes for Tudor/Victorian/Viking days at school. Straight seams are about my limit, although I did manage to do a zigzag hem on DDs Brownie leggings when I converted them into cycle shorts.

That's great to know Seeline, thanks- my dressmaking skills are nonexistent, I am just fed up of hand stitching unravelled seams! It sounds like it will do the job. I'm going for duck-egg blue Wink
