How much to charge for this christmas bunting?

It has 9 flags and is approx 3 metres long. Each flag is hand cut and so is each appliquéd shape.

How much would you say is a fair price?

Are they double sided? So that different designs on each side?

LaurieFairyCake · 07/10/2014 10:50

Btw, it's absolutely gorgeous Smile

It's lovely! £16-£20?

LaurieFairyCake · 07/10/2014 10:52

I'm very slow at making things so for me it would take me an hour to make each triangle if it was double sided and I had to actually sew on the appliqué designs (instead of sticking them on) so I would only ever do this for me as it would cost me about £100 at minimum wage to make Grin

It depends on where you are selling.

Lots of people will be ordering similar from China etc. for pennies, so you might not get much at a school fair/eBay.

If it's at a well heeded craft fair/artisan thing, you might charge up to £30. It is a very short stretch of bunting though.

I wouldn't pay more than £3 even though I know I'd pay more than that in materials and time if I made it myself. So, actually, I wouldn't buy it at all.

Depends where you live and where you are selling them really I think. But if I saw something like that, that I really liked, up to £10.

ChippingInLatteLover · 07/10/2014 10:58

(£10 because it's really short and because I could make it myself if I could be bothered...)

It is lovely, but I agree, it depends where you are selling it. I'd pay maybe between £10 and £15? Have you looked on etsy or NOTHS to see what similar things go for?
