Have just discovered shrink plastic and am looking forward to making myself some jewellery. Anyone else given it a try?

I love this stuff! Suggestions are...

Make yourself a 'ruler' by marking out a square about 15cm each side and use a fine permanent marker to mark out at least the cm and half cm. Then cook it and you can see what the shrink factor is along each side which will make it less of a guessing game (although that can be fun...)

Also when you get them out of the oven, have a heavyish book ready to plonk on top to ensure things cool flat. doesn't need to stay on very long, they cool quite quickly. If your oven is a bit uneven heatwise, can be a good idea to turn the tray around halfway through cooking.

Colours get much stronger as they shrink so pre-cooking it's better if they're a little washed out. But again it's quite fun trialling it to find out what works best.

Thanks for the reminder about this! I'm adding it to my list of things to do on maternity leave that clearly won't happen...
