Light up crochet hooks

Has anyone used one?
I am extremely short sighted as in can't see clearly beyond the end of my nose.
I am also reaching the/age of long sightedness.
I am crocheting a Toothless Dragon in black Patrons Smoothies DK. It is very dense and seeing the stitches is a bugger.
Currently I have to crochet with my glasses off and the work held mm from my nose!
I saw light up crochet hooks on the wool warehouse site and wondered if they might help.
Normally I can see the stitches but this back is no fun!

I've got some and they are fab for crocheting at night in front of the TV. A bit difficult to get hold of (I got mine from the states) but if you can get them, worth a try!

What is the sizing like? Some of the amazon reviews indicate that it's not too accurate for the smaller sizes.
I'd need 3.5 mm.

I am afraid for me varifocals were the only answer, that said they have revolutionised my life.

I bought one for my mum for her birthday. It is great for dark yarns, but I am a bit light sensitive and it was taking me to the realms of migraine.

Have you got a good lamp? I struggle to knit in the evening when I'm not at home.

At home I have a halogen reading lamp positioned to shine on my work, makes a huge difference! wasn't very expensive from Ikea.

I have one now. It came today.
It is very bright.
So far I have pretended it is a light sabre.......
I'm about to dig out the dark coloured crochet so I shall report back later.
