Best sewing magazine?

I've just started to sew, I'm a total beginner but have done a few workshops & am gaining the confidence to try a few things on my own now. My mum has offered to buy me a subscription to a sewing magazine for Christmas, are there any that are any good and that you would recommend? I can't afford to buy them all to try, and there are so many around!

I think the best sewing magazine ever is Ottobre - but mostly for patterns and not for learning how to sew.
I would prefer a few courses on crafty.com as a present.

Wrt magazines, I found Molly makes particularly disappointing. Like Pinterest in a magazine format.

I like Love Sewing and Sew. Avoid Molly Makes unless you're keen on crocheting vegetables and amarguri or whatever it's called.
