Doing a sampler for a Xmas present and the kit came with white aida. I love the pattern but am now wishing I have bought linen or something to do it on as white doesnt suit the design. Am halfway through so I am not unpicking and starting again!

Sooo...I thought about using a light beigey colour to cover the white, would that work? Has anyone done this? I cant find pictures on t'internet so it may be a done thing!

So it may NOT be a done thing!

I usually fill in the spaces with a pastel coloured thread that goes with the pattern. I don't know of its the done thing but I don't like big patches of aids showing through even if its supposed to, I've gone over coloured aida in a similar colours thread before.

I never thought of pastels, I will give it a go.

Thanks :)
