Ideas please on printing inside greetings cards

......without putting each card through the printer individually?

I usually make blank cards to avoid this problem, but now starting to think about Christmas cards.

My usually creative mind has drawn a blank. My handwriting isn't special enough to write on the inside. What to do?

Get some 'greetings' rubber stamps? Or you can buy card inserts with various greetings and verses on.

Germgirl - can you have them custom made do you know? My greetings will be mostly in Welsh and I'm thinking of using some verses my dad wrote.

I'm also looking for inspiration on old threads. Mumsnet's great. Better than google :-)

You can have them custom made. Try eBay or Blade Rubber stamps. There's lots of companies who will do it, just google 'personalised rubber stamps'.
I had a self inking stamp made by Vistaprint but the font wasn't that special, it was only for work though. They might be worth a look.
If you meant inserts, I'm not sure, I've never used them myself, I'm sure you can get free software to make your own, it's easier to print inserts than to send individual cards through the printer.

Hmm. I've never done them but I think I'd go for some nice heavyweight vellum. You can get it in Hobbycraft, it's made for Pergamano (that paper piercing thingy) but I've used it on cards, the plain white one is quite nice.
Use a thin strong tape to tape them inside the cards. Maybe the 'red' double sided tape, I think that comes in 2mm size.

Also try Etsy as an alternative to ebay - lots of hand-crafted stuff there.

I made some wedding invitations a couple of years ago and printed the inserts separately (two to a A4 sheet) then cut and fixed them in later. I did the same for Order of service things etc.

I have some cookie cutters where you can affix letters to make the words/phrases of your choice, so I reckon you could do similar with rubber stamps, but it may be simpler to find a nice font, do the layout on your PC and just print onto suitable paper.

I have ordered cards and bags now, and have persuaded my DH to take me to The Range tomorrow (no other crafty shops around - the Range if a 50 mile round trip!)

so on my list will be: blank stickers for printing my phone number; nice card to print verse/greetings; pattered line punch or squiggly scissors for cutting inserts; glue; sticky little pads.

Hope it'll all be worth it :-)
