Can anyone link me to a circle to square pattern, please. I need one that is join as you go because I'm a lazy trout that hates sewing up.

Ideally the circle would be solid rather than lacy.

I'm driving myself crazy on Google and Ravelry and Pinterest.

please can I have the moon on a stick too

Thank you.

[http://aderynbach.wordpress.com/2012/05/23/circle-in-a-square/ Here] is one I wrote on my blog. I've made blankets using the pattern where I've joined as I've been making them by finishing the final round, then joining to the next square before finishing off.

This is a flower to a square but I've adapted it to square up all sorts of things.

Thank you both. They are lovely Smile

I think the one on your blog PantryBoy is what I'm looking for. If you are still around could you tell me how big the square comes out, please. I'll have a go at yours next Catsmamma

4.5" across using a 3.5 hook and DK. I'm quite a tight crocheted though.
You can vary the pattern to suit yourself, I've made bigger circles and changed the depth of the outer squaring.
You just need to divide the outside of the circle by four and work out how to square it.

Catsmamma · 18/08/2014 19:14

it really depends...i was using a dk and a five hook, and maybe about 5 inches square, but i did feel it was loose ish

i am a bit laissez faire for tension!

I made up my own pattern. However, its not JAYG and is quite labour intensive as it uses invisible chainless starting TCs and an invisible join. On the plus side, all ends are sewn in on the squares as you go :o

The blanket isn't finished yet though.

There's no reason it can't be JAYG though - I simply have never done it successfully before.
