Baby clothes patterns for beginner?

So I've just started sewing. Literally!

Have a machine. Have successfully made a dress for baby dd (the start with a rectangle type)

Everything else looks so hard!

Any advice or patterns for other baby clothes I might be able to cope with?!

I love sewing clothes but am still on simple things at the moment. I highly recomend that you try to do some little onesie dresses.

These are where you sew a skirt onto a baby vest with popper underneath...or use a t shirt...but the popper type are best for nappies. Here is a tutorial but if you don't like that one just google, there are loads.

Another top tip is to take apart clothing and use it as a pattern. I did this with a pair of basic elastic waist trousers for my toddler DD...so easy...trousers only have 4 parts when they're elasticated and they're much simpler than you'd imagine. I've also made a dress for my 6 year old by taking apart a party dress from Next and then using the shapes to draw up a paper pattern.

Paper patterns are needed except with the onsie dress...always pin them down to the fabric and always pre-wash your fabric as it shrinks a bit first wash.
